防彈玻璃是指在具有玻璃的透光，透像性能的同時(shí)感覺，還對槍彈射擊具有防護(hù)能力的玻璃。它是由多片玻璃和高透明膠合材料粘接在一起，經(jīng)高溫、高壓制成。按GA165-1997標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)定，防彈玻璃按防彈能力分為F54型、F79型、F56型等型號。

防彈玻璃的主要特性：

1、外觀質(zhì)量平整、沒有劃痕、膠層均勻、沒有汽泡和任何缺陷，四周磨光、倒角，品牌和型號標(biāo)識在玻璃內(nèi)，具有防偽性。

2、防彈能力，根據(jù)型號不同，在常溫條件下，使用不同的槍支，采用7.62mm鋼芯槍彈，在不同距離內(nèi)各對防彈玻璃射擊有效彈數(shù)3發(fā)，彈頭或彈片不能穿透玻璃，受沖擊玻璃背面無碎片剝落。
